How would you describe your time at IBM?

As SW IT Architect I have the responsibility to define solutions to client business problems through the reasoned application of information technology. Those solutions are manifested as architectures and can include systems, applications and process components. They may also involve the application and integration of a broad variety of products, technologies and services, various systems and applications architectures, and diverse hardware and software components.
Much of my work is focused on the front end of the solution life-cycle: listening to clients, understanding their business requirements and systematically forming incrementally more detailed definitions of the structures of an information technology solution -- an architecture.

As Systems Engineer my time was mainly dedicated to the presale activity and the sales support. Under this perspective, I was involved as solution expert in the market positioning of FileNet products, in terms of competition differentiators and pointing out the value proposition both from the technical and the business points of view.
I worked close to the sales team and the business partner network, being part of negotiations management, writing the technical parts of proposals, certifying the proposals' congruency with the products' technical features and giving my contribution in preparing effective sales presentations.

As IT Senior Consultant, I was mainly involved in TELCO system integration projects, based on Java/J2EE, EAI and network management technologies. As Java/EAI Community effective member, I was also involved in preparing internal training sessions, in order to assure the knowledge transfer and support the "new hiring" learning process. Under the project activity perspective, my role was first "developer" and then "senior developer", "architect" and "team leader".
