If you won $50 million dollars tomorrow, what would you do first?

I would buy my parents a new house, which I know sounds cliche but I would not be where I am today if it was not for my mother.

How would you describe your time at StudentCity.com?

As a Campus Manager I was responsible for the day-to-day activities involved in the sales and marketing of our Spring and Summer Break Vacation packages. Before I began to manage the day-to-day operation on DePauw University Campus, I attended our week long National Sales Training.

After my
attendance, I was responsible for hiring those individuals that I recruited as Student Representatives on my campus. Next, we conducted market research and completed our S.W.O.T. analysis, which provided my team the characteristics of our unique market. After examining our research, my team and I created trips that corresponded to the information we obtained during our analysis. My next major task was developing a sales plan that would address the unique characteristic and demands of our possible costumers.

The most useful experience I obtained as a Campus Manager was helping ensure my student representative completely understand and could help implement our sales plan. More importantly, I continuously modified and adapted the sales plans I educated each Student Representatives with regards to their individual strengths.

Although our continuous adaption and modification of our sales plan was responsible for our continued success, I decided to organize two promotional campus events, one featuring popular MTV personalities and one aiming at obtaining information from our junior/senior population by hosting an exclusive bar night. These two events provide our team with a number of leads and sparked consumers interest in our product, however, I quickly learn that we had over estimated the potential sales of these two promotional events. The unique opportunity that StudentCity.com Campus Manager program provided our team with useful information about sales, marketing, and the importance of hiring intelligent, self-motivate individuals.
