How would you describe your time at DeltaCom?

Varied. I began as data entry clerk and 9 years later, I am Reporting Specialist and assistant to the VP of Customer Services. I have done everything from toilet repair to sql coding/reporting, query design and reporting. Excel report design and implimentation for Managers daily reporting. Excel workbook design for agents daily work recording. Event planning for division-wide employee recognition events. I started as shipping clerk responsible for processing paperwork to ship order. Over 6 years, my responsibilities grew to include prodcut label design, inventory managment, production scheduling and ISO900 process documentation for warehousing operations.

Computer Science proved to be the wrong focus for me, but the courses I took have proven useful anyway. I was never much of a programmer, but the basics of data structures and design are useful in designing Excel workbooks or databases.
