- (5) person legislative team; develops and executes the association's legislative goals, agenda and strategies for building relationships, influencing policy and changing law and regulation. Prepared senior leadership for appearances on Capitol Hill. Liaison to (4) military and veteran coalitions and associated organizations.
Contacted Members of Congress and their staffs, building respect and rapport.
Meet with industry, trade representatives and other third parties on defense equipment and systems.
Work formally and informally with DoD representatives and other government agencies.
Wrote legislation, wrote position papers, testimony, congressional letters; weekly e-broadcast input, and magazine articles. Provided customer service with association members to address legislative concerns.

Naval Services Director
How would you describe your time at Reserve Officers Association?
Responsible for liaison with senior and legislative leadership for Navy,
Marines, Coast Guard, US Public Health, and NOAA representing over 12,000 membership, nation-wide.
Representative on the Navy Marine Advisory council to Secretary of the Navy. Briefed the Employer Support for Guard and Reserve Committee.
Reported to the Executive Director on legislation, policy and equipment issues affecting the Naval Services. Association liaison with Department of Defense on TRICARE Health, and TRICARE for Reservists.
Contacted Members of the Senate and House and their staffs on Sea Services and Health care issues. Developed legislation, testimony, position papers, congressional letters, and magazine articles pertaining to ROA concerns.
Worked with other Administration Agencies.
Speaker at chapter and department events.
Assisted in offsite recruitment of ROA members....
