As a Network Specialist, directly responsible for overseeing datacenter operations in addition to:

Performing workstation configurations using proprietary imaging utilities

Supporting multiple types devices from installation and configuration to monitoring and maintaining; (Windows 2003
servers, File and Print Servers, Nokia Firewalls, Cisco Routers, Nortel Baystack 48-port Switches, AIX boxes, Sniffer Servers, Passport 8010 blades, Cisco wireless access points, RAID5 configurations, rack mounting and cable management

Write/maintaining documentation for all procedures/installations/upgrades

Responding to user inquiries, support request and trouble reports concerning information technology systems, policies and procedures

User Support: Utilize ticket tracking system to respond to and remedy issues as recorded by users and support personnel including password resets, lotus notes request and troubleshooting mail issues, data restore, file share management, over quota management

Proactively monitor client networks using HP Openview and NetId to scan and view networks to ensure all devices are up and running.

Perform Disaster and Recovery procedure monthly to ensure and validate the integrity of systems.

Troubleshoot network drops and equipment using Fluke devices and tone generators to restore or provide new connection to the network.

Initiate trouble tickets and service calls with vendors for part replacement if applicable.

Active Directory Admin for the St. Louis North and South regions; including, creating/modifying/moving/logon scripts and decommissioning users, groups, printers and clients.

Support mainframe print queue activity for vendor/client for printing problems
