As a member of the Business Express unit at the New York City Department of Small Business Services, charged with consolidating processes for starting a business by creating one comprehensive website. Responsible for researching startup and operating requirements for over 1,000 types of businesses and running test scripts on Business Express website....

Life changing.
Selected from more than 17,000 applicants nationwide to join national teacher corps of outstanding recent college graduates who commit to teach in low-income communities. Taught 6th grade self-contained class of 30 students. Tutored 7th and 8th grade Math and English Language Arts. During second year, taught Science and Health to 93 6th grade students, and led them to significant academic gains ??? an average of 73% content mastery. Counseled group of 8 6th graders in after-school advisory program. Recruited at Vassar College in Spring of 2006, increased number of applications from 6 to 33 ??? the highest growth rate of all TFA recruitment teams....

How would you describe your time at Media Cloisters at Vassar C...?
Collaborated with students, faculty, and administration in the Media Cloisters, a state-of-the-art studio for web development, DV editing, sound engineering, and animation. Led Design Team, composed of 5 students, in creating 12 advertising campaigns for campus events. Coordinated flyers and collaborated on website design. Presented 6 lectures on Illustrator, Fireworks, and Maya. Chief animator for Anthropology professor???s postdoctoral CAVE Project....
