Responsibilities :
??? Developing algorithms for functionality of various optical transmission blocks (amplifiers/ Multiplexers etc)
??? System engineering and the formulation of feature requirements for the design tool for the purpose of designing an optical network using Ciena Product portfolio.
??? Reviewing product/feature specifications and defining the system requirements including the requirements document reviews, design reviews, code reviews and test scenario reviews.
??? Working with system validation and testing team to design relevant test cases

Responsibilities :
??? Planning of high & low capacity optical links with Nortel???s OPTera 1600G LH & SDH network elements.
??? Product level functional testing of optical network elements including EMS/NMS testing
??? Network availability estimations pertaining to various protection methodologies (Ring and/or Mesh)
??? Improvement of resiliency of the network by implementing the necessary expansion/modification of the optical fiber backbone and access rings.
??? Line-up of new DWDM routes comprising of OPTera Connect DX and OPTera 1600G LH and commissioning the enroute network elements and integrating them into the network.
