How would you describe your time at Saxon Capital?
EVP, General Counsel, Secretary and senior manager of the legal department and regulatory compliance areas of Saxon Mortgage and its parent, Saxon Capital, Inc., a mortgage lender, servicer, NYSE-listed public company and REIT until the company successfully sold itself to and became a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, the large Wall Street firm, in December 2006; joined Saxon in 1995 as attorney and law department manager. As the company grew, expanded to nationwide operations, and was spun off in an IPO in 2001, navigated the issues and challenges of Board of Directors corporate governance, executive compensation, S.E.C. reporting, stock exchange rules, securities regulation, and REIT tax law; financial services and loan servicing pool transactions, securitization, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), audits and investigations, vender contracts, consumer finance regulatory compliance, class action litigation, governmental and regulatory affairs, and employment law....
