Supply Technician
Solely responsible for developing procedures to determine operational capability and effectiveness , recommends improvement methods and performs inspections of supply functions.Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items. Performs various tasks using ULLS-G and SAMS-I/TDA maintenance Automated Systems to coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts and assemblies within or between department in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities. Revise replenishment frequencies, rotate stock and performs assigned inventory management tasks in order to maintain uninterrupted supply support for an assigned area.
Monitor due-in items, back order reports and delinquent delivery reports and takes proper action to keep delinquent deliveries to an acceptable minimum level. Performs aspects of technical supply management work e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
Reviews existing stock catalogs, manufacturer???s catalogs, drawing , or other resource materials, for the purpose of matching characteristics or part numbers to identify duplication items already catalogued or otherwise recorded in the supply system.
Contacts representatives of commercial firms to obtain information regarding new items of supply, procurement item lead time; or representatives of Government Agencies (Federal, State, or Local) regarding the utilization of property. Writes item descriptions for a range of items entering the supply channels for particular agency or fields establishment; and applies requirements selecting the appropriate description and answering the requirements. Directs and supervises the Supply Clerk.
Vehicle Management (maintenance/logout inventory) the service included lubrication maintenance, parts replacement and trouble shoot minor problems and prepare requisition for major repair work. Logistics subject matter expert for Supply Operations, analyzes supply system and resolves problems, prepares reports and determines trends. Segregation of parts by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility. Responsible for forecasting, distribution, redistribution of materials procurement authorization, and limited funds management. Prepare items for turn in to DRMO, utilizing ETID automated system. Prepare turn in documents for all repairable exchange items. Prepare items to be shipped according to the DA 738-750. Performs material coordination duties for Special Programs and maintenance shops.
Works within the framework of established supply regulations, policies and procedures , or other governing supply management guidelines. Deals with operating officials regarding limited expects of program needs of the organization serviced. Coordinate logostical functions Internally/Externally and prepared status reports. Responsible for making space utilization relative to the inventory under the incumbent's control. Oversees stock maintenance at or within prescribed levels and establishes or adjusts stock levels and reorder points using standard formulae and prescribed procedures.Follow Installation Property Book Officer Approval, prepare and process Administrative Adjustment Reports (DA Form 4949).
