Working at the resource centre has allowed me to gain an insight into the commercial fishing industry and how the different sectors interact and work together. I have also picked up valuable experience and training including sea survival and first aid.

Although I enjoyed the job at the sealife centre, which involved giving presentations to the public and answering questions, the short shifts and low rate of pay resulted in me having to leave this post.

Gained a good basic knowledge of multi-disciplinary ocean science and indepth knowledge on a range of topics within the Marine Biology sector. My honours project was concerned with the water quality in raceway tanks used to culture juvenile Solea solea (Dover Sole).
