How would you describe your time at Schlumberger (www.slb.com)?
Working as a Service Delivery Manager in the Wireline Open hole Electronics
Maintenance Laboratory. Our job is to use Wireline to run different kinds of
measuring and data gathering logging tools down into an open well while it is being
drilled. The data tells us what kind of formation there is, and miraculously, from that,
geologists are able to figure out whether the well is producible.
???? My job is supervising the maintenance personnel involved in Troubleshooting,
Repair & Maintenance of Electronic cards of logging tools measuring Geological &
Geophysical parameters like Resistivity, Density, Porosity, and Temperature of the
formation inside the oil wells. Mostly did troubleshooting and repairs on
Land/offshore Rigs and platforms and in the Electronic Lab fixing Analog, Digital
and Microprocessor Based Electronic Circuits and PCB's. Also Repair of Pentium II,
III & IV computers and Peripherals used for Data Acquisition.
???? Spent a year improving Equipment Quality, implementing REPORTING tools,
organizing the Electronics lab with 3 Instrument Engineers. Achieved very good
results.
???? Supervised the Electronics Lab, recruited and trained several new Technicians.
Done equipment planning and rationalization, involved in the transition from old to
new technology. Responsible for remarkably improving service quality from a
technical standpoint....
