Responsible for the molten metal and casting quality of the A356 permanent mold aluminum pistons.
Developed Spectrographic analysis reliability to accurately test A356 aluminum and its component elements.
-Achieved 60% material cost reduction by using secondary Aluminum, which was refined in an open-hearth furnace to meet A356 specifications.
-Successfully implemented Nitrogen Chlorine degassing of Aluminum molten metal and verified using TTT curves & Vacuum Gas Metal method.
-Achieved Q1 status for the Malden, Missouri Piston Plant....

I had a great time at school. I was able to see the tools that I had implemented through out my career were part of the curriculum. Met a lot of fellow students who were also working full time and taking the classes or On-line assignments completed by Friday midnight or Saturday before class begins.
