How would you describe your dream job in 10 words or less?

I got into film and digital media because of a creative passion, and because I was not cut out for the nine to five corporate world. My dream job would reflect both of these reasons - an environment that looks nothing like a executive office, filled with people who look nothing like executives. Creativity needs a place to expand minds and creative minds need each other. I also envision a creative outlet, like a pinball machine or an arcade game, something to work off steam of technical difficulties and writer's block. And a comfortable couch on which to brainstorm.... read more

How would you describe your time at Freelance?

Working on Final Cut and Avid my latest projects include sizzle reels, trailers and an award-winning music video for which I was also director of photography.

My expertise in digital media and post production spans over a decade, beginning with Undergrad Film and TV at Tisch School of the Arts
at New York University ??? through five plus years as a production assistant and, ultimately, chief of post production with a NYC-based media company ??? to today as a working freelancer.

I am a writer, director, producer, cinematographer, composer, prop-maker and actor in my own collective comedy shorts (www.uglyboytv.com) and will continue to take on any facet of production in front of or behind the camera.

I have been a lifelong illustrator and visual artist, an infatuation that I have applied to modern mediums. I am responsible for a handful of client-solicited websites, not including my own personal showcase (www.uglyboyart.com) and do all graphics for videos, as well as flash trailers and invites.

I draw inspiration from everywhere, music, friends, family, childhood memories, and the tabloids. My passion for creativity and entertainment is limitless. As an artist, I am working every minute of every day.

Long hours, tight deadlines, working directly with clients became a regular occurrence, and over time my practice became a proficiency. Graphic integration evolved and spawned the need for web skills, which I have carried through today. I also developed professional and collaborative relationship with my the producer/director and continue to join creative forces with him today.... read more

After much self-learning and years of graphic work, I enrolled in the New School to learn the foundations of Web Design. Here I developed a basic understanding of HTML, and most importantly, picked up a skill that has proven essential in my freelance and independent work - Macromedia Flash.

How would you describe your time at New York University - Tisc...?

At TSOA I had a hand in every facet of film and TV production, directing, acting, writing, sound-syncing, radio plays. I also partook in a work study program as a teaching assistant where I got to experience the inner workings of production courses in which I wasn't enrolled as a student. My experience was accompanied by a vast history lesson involving the cinema's greatest influences.... read more
