How would you describe your time at nci information systems?
Perform Systems Administration duties for ISEC PRIME, a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS 2007) to enable ISEC to accomplish synchronization and integration of engineering projects across the command. Maintain PRIME server farm, including multiple SQL 2000 database servers, and Windows Server 2003 servers running MOSS 2007 and other applications by testing and rolling out updates and service patches, by troubleshooting and fixing hardware and software problems, and performing system maintenance to keep servers performing at their peak. Act as SharePoint Engineer developing the architecture, configuring, managing, administrating and backing up all aspect of Windows Server 2003, Internet Information Systems 6.0 and SQL Server 2000. Act as SPS and Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) administrator, managing index propagation and search, managing user access and profiles, and maintaining site statistics and logging. Act as Site Designer and content manager for the entire ISEC PRIME system, creating new sites, site templates, workflows, webparts and making updates as needed. Field Network helpdesk system questions on all aspects of PRIME, troubleshooting and resolving user access issues and application problems, and managing the ticketing system. Serve as Senior Information Technology Specialist, researching, evaluating and informing government of new technology, standards, regulations, and procedures. Serve as Project Lead managing personnel, monitoring task, coordinating with contract POCs, writing monthly status reports, and assist in writing successful proposals. Developed and maintain ISEC PRIME, a SharePoint Portal for ISEC. Created user friendly navigation and taxonomy. Designed and created site definitions, site hierarchy, views, custom templates, areas and modified Web Parts to meet the needs of ISEC and its customers. Created project workspaces on demand. Created Directorate and Critical Skill Expert Areas and all areas and sites in their hierarchy. Developed top-level Library and views to enable users to find documents faster. Created courseware to teach ISEC users how to use PRIME, create and manage their sites, to modify and use Web Parts, and to create libraries and manage document flow. How would you describe your time at Management System Design?
Made operational the fragmented, semi-operational Information Technology (IT) Metrics and Visual Information (VI) Metrics web application which gathers reports on and allows users to analyze over 200 metrics from over 180 Army installations. Also, retooled and made more user friendly the IT and VI metrics website and their corresponding sub-sites, using ColdFusion, HTML, VBScript, and JavaScript. Redesigned and standardized the Director of Information Management (DOIM) websites in accordance with DoD and Army standards and guidance. Developed and maintain in-depth documentation for these websites. Create (as needed) web applications for our administrators and 800-some users. Act as IT and VI application administrator and perform fiscal year data preparation for new year user testing/input as well as maintain and update the 6 databases that run the applications. Designed software development plans for and implemented templates, schema, site definition, site hierarchy, modified pages (ASP.NET and XML), as Administrator for Enterprise System Technology Activity (ESTA) SharePoint. Developed an Unfunded Request (UFR) tracking application using ASP and MS SQL Database. Act as ESTA Portal Administrator for Army Knowledge On line (AKO) and AKO3. How would you describe your time at command technologies?
Created, implemented and maintain administrative feedback tool to include web pages and database, for Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) Training and Education Coordination Office (TECO), whose products reach thousands of intelligence and Department of Defense analysts annually. This tool allows senior TECO Administrators to view feedback from their students from any of a number of classes, access reports and personal services data, sort feedback by selected criteria, and integrate the feedback into class curricula, as required. Provided additional ad hoc computer-related support to TECO administrators and employees, developing and maintaining web based training applications, databases, and other tools as required. Senior Web Developer for Measurement and Signatures Intelligence (MASINT) Committee Web Site, completely revamping existing site into new, user friendly site featuring interactive menus and more technologically advance features. New features includes: smart ASP calendar, providing at-a-glance monthly event display, collapsible/expandable site map, new "ONLINE" newsletter , ASP newsletter search function, and a portal page. The portal page identifies users, remembers their settings and intuitively shows them the most current information on the server for topics they specify. Recreated a ColdFusion application in ASP, for the DIA MASINT Division which includes login/password security, access for the user who logged in to their own files, interactive products database, and analyst input tool. Used HTML (hand coding), JavaScript, CSS, and various web development software, to upgrade, maintain, update and enhance the Federal Housing Finance Board Internet and Intranet sites. Performed trouble shooting on site and made corrections dealing with 508 compliancy and cross-browser compatibility. Created dynamic web-based multimedia images and used multiple graphic programs to capture, edit and compress graphics and images. Condensed large multi-page hard copy documents into web friendly versions. Lauded frequently by senior management for each of these websites....
