How would you describe your time at United Parcel Service - Oak...?
Not easy! And this goes for anyone who are thinking about applying for this position of a package handler. Yes, I will say that UPS is one of the best companies in the world. No doubt. It is a competitor of DHL, FedEX, and the USPS. And happy birthday UPS for celebrating 100 years of service. (Had to get that out!) The position of UPS is commonly known of package handling in which you lift packages out of trailers and into the hubs for sorting. That is all you do! Also you have to take a cornerstone training course in which you learn about the atmosphere of the company, workplace violence (yes it's true!), how to identify chemicals, hazmats, proper lifting, and these words: don't touch, leave area, notifiy supervisor. Sounds pretty easy? Probably. And the classes are boring! No joke!!! You will sometime face hygenie problems part of the time, and I hate to say this that chances you would be injured. I suffered a shoulder strain on the job, and I was sidelined for about a week. And after I hurt my shoulder, I vowed never to do that again! If you like the job, I have nothing against that. The company also has advancements which I learned through interviews and the website. - Such as Industiral Engineering Management. - (BTW I am looking for more information about this position. If there are some more info, let me know.)...

How would you describe your time at Coakley Tech?
Disturbing. I would say that this is one company at first that rekindled my printing skills, but it also somewhat destroyed them. I say this because I feel that the company never had a chance to put additional training into the position. I was laid off from this company in 2005 and it did not feel good at all. Maybe it was politics. I showed up to work everyday on time, and did the best I could do. This company did me wrong, though. But I do have some good things the fact that it gave me some good pointers on the job. If Coakley Tech were a real company with assistance in Mechancial Aptitude then I would be working there now!...

How would you describe your time at Staffing?
Very Short. I was hired as a Temporary Bindery Worker at a printing facility in Brookfield, WI. Sadly, the job lasted only four days. During the four days I stacked booklets onto pallets for delivery in Quebecor World's bindery areas. The business production at this time was slow and ended in a layoff....

How would you describe your time at University of Wisconsin-Stout?
Let me go by saying that the University of Wisconsin-Stout is one of the best schools I attended. It is also one of the best universities in Wisconsin and in North America. UW-Stout is located in a small town of Menomonie, Wisconsin, (this is one way of spelling Menomonie!) near Eau Claire. I was a distance education student with the university by which I took my courses online and through video conferencing. I wasn't a traditional on-campus student. The challenge for me as a distance ed student in Industrial Management was not easy but it gave me an edge of communication to establish my learning skills. Overall it was a good program. I had some "issues" from other people, especially in Milwaukee that I had to leave the city to go onto the campus. Not true! I kept my mind focused on what I had to do, and when to do it. The experience also gave me a boost of coordinating my schedules between online work, video conference work and addtional work with employment, activities, and etc. Believe me folks, it worked for me.
Now the University is a "polytechnic" university. What is "polytechnic?" According to the Merriam-Webster website the word is defined as: "relating to or devoted to instruction in many technical arts or applied sciences" That is what is Stout is about right now. And my major is one of the prime examples of this philosophy. The university is also a recipent of the Malcolm Baldrige Award, in higher education.
For those of you wanted to know more about the school here is the link: http://www.uwstout.edu
and those who wanted to know about the Industrial Management program (now called Management) here is the link: http://www.uwstout.edu/programs/bsm/...
