How would you describe your time at Ace Hardware?

A pleasant experience working with wonderful people. I learned the ropes quite quickly as I usually do, and found myself on top of things. They really needed someone to handle the computers as the other associate I worked with was not familiar with them. I handled that problem and took care of most of the computer work while holding customer service and making sales of small and large commercial equipment. The only issue near the end was I was not being paid the amount I needed and had to move on. I left on great terms with my boss and everyone else, and made sure they were able to fill the hole before leaving.... read more

How would you describe your time at PostcardMania?

Without question, the best work experience so far. I went into this great company as a List Processor (Advanced Data Entry). What we did was brought mailing lists in Excel and Word format, converted them into databases (if they were not converted already) and cleaned and arranged them into a format that could be printed onto a postcard/brochure/etc. I started out as a processor and within 6 months, I had already gotten two raises and a promotion to the List Processing Manager. I was responsible for four - five processors. Training them, helping them with problems they ran into. When they made errors, I would watch them work and find where they were creating the error and breaking their habits that caused them. I worked on VIP accounts directly with the President of the company who also worked in the Sales department. I worked on VIP accounts from the Corporate Sales department. I was the fastest processor at the time, and had made many production bonuses while working there. I learned so much at Postcardmania and it was an experience that was unforgettable and taught me many new skills.... read more

How would you describe your time at Aetna Rx?

This was definitely an experience I wont forget. I went into training for the first two weeks. A lot of the other applicants did not make it through the training for their licenses, and a lot gave up and didn't try. This was another Data Entry job, where we would also use the phones to call Doctors to verify prescription information. We would get a faxed copy of a prescription, fill out the prescription using the knowledge from our Pharmacy Technician training to make sure it was completely accurate. I love telling people I know about this achievement I made at the age of 18. It was a shame I had to move too far away to continue working there.... read more

How would you describe your time at C of S Tampa (Church Organi...?

This was definitely something I can say many at the age of 16 would not have been doing. I worked for a church organization, I was in a promotional department where we would design flyers, brochures, newsletters, and magazines. I used Photoshop, Quark Xpress, and some Illustrator. After a while of being there my boss handed the magazine designing over to me completely. We would design all these pieces and bring them to the qualifications department to have the person verify all the information was correct and the layout was sufficient, then when approved we got the pieces printed and handed out. This was definitely an achievement for me, and something I am proud of doing in my past at such a young age. I was responsible for one junior during that time.

I also took up the advantage of taking some courses. One course was advanced study procedures to learn any subject with ease, utilizing very workable study technology. The other course taught me to be an ethical and productive staff member for any workplace.

How would you describe your time at SPC college?

I went into the classroom and the lady was very nice, she recommended I take an assessment test. I did so, and the results were fantastic and she suggested I just take the GED test right away, so I did. I passed the test with ease.
