Worked as an entry level Contract Specialist up to an intermediate level for an office that specialized in the acquisition, and maintenance of energy-related products, support service contractors and grants. I made awards to small businesses, educational institutions, other federal agencies and corporations. I awarded and administered contracts (e.g., advised program managers, conducted market research, determined recipient responsiveness and responsibility, negotiated price and terms, performed cost/price analysis, prepared written contracts and coordinated approvals). Contract types and activities included: RFP???s, IDIQ???s, small purchases, grants, invoice payments, and CPIF???s. Programs I served were Waste Management, Lawrence Livermore and Berkeley National Laboratory, Office of Chief Counsel, Public Affairs, Information Management, Human Resources and Headquarters.
