How would you describe your time at The ARCHES Project?

Conducted intake appointment with clients to assess the needs of applicants, provide referrals and information for homeless clients. Established rapport and conducted informal interview with individual client who had problems such as drugs and alcohol, mental health disorder, employment, education, inadequate skills, substance abuse, and criminal history. Explain rules and regulations of agency, procedures or responsibilities to the clients. Assisted and reviewed clients??? application to ensure all questions are completed. Assisted in organization and functioning in the Day Center by asking the clients for information, making notes, and deciding an action based on the clients??? information. Provided sack lunches, clothing, laundry facilities, shower, a computer for job search, and hygiene supplies. Assisted in case managing clients and maintaining clients' files. Provided support and clerical assistance to the ARCHES project as needed. Organized and helped run the ARCHES closet such as clothing, furniture, and hygiene supplies.... read more

Set up and operated lapping machines to lap surface of flat, cylindrical, and spherical objects and adjacent mechanical parts to specifications and standard charts, applying knowledge of lapping procedure. Inspected lapped wafer for conformance to specifications, using tools such as high performance light, ADE thickness gauge, comparator, vacuum tube, flatness gauges, and surface plates. Participate in team meeting to work on yield improvement such as broken, chips, fractures, and cost reduction. Performed machine setup, shutdown, calibration, minor repair on machines and troubleshoots problems. Used SPC method to identify process issues and implement routine process corrections.
