What special qualifications do you have for your dream job?
I have an innate passion for developing talent in innovative ways to keep up with the ever-changing global environment. I strive to increase value and reduce risks for stakeholders by researching ways to improve performance, ensure compliance, processes and procedures; and by finding ways to implement programs that increase retention and reduce costs. With nine years of human resources generalist experience and my knowledge of adult learning theory and application, I offer a specialty with broad application. I know from customer, peer, and supervisor feedback that I have the interpersonal skills, work ethic, and motivation to be successful in helping to leverage internal talent and build capability. I am a strong believer in lifelong learning, keeping current, staying on top and determining trends and encourage those around me to seek additional educational opportunities and training so they will remain relevant in our ever-changing global environment. B.S.Ed. degree from U.G.A. in Instructional Psychology, Training, and Technology with 3.43 GPA. Conducted job task analysis and strategic needs assessment for University's Research Administration Office of Sponsored Programs and Office of Grants and Contracts areas. Completed project for Finance Division which included conducting interviews, observations, developing a framework and writing a business plan for the implementation of a training program for finance professionals--"The Finance Professionals Institute". I considered the impact upon the organization and made certain the program was in line with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. The plan was accepted and is currently in the initial stages of implementation where I am working in collaboration with Human Resources Learning and Development. I am also serving on a committee examining learning management vendors for University and Healthcare, especially for compliance (i.e., HIPAA or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act / Medical Privacy-National Standards to Protect the Privacy of Personal Health Information). My newest project is to promote collaboration among a few peer institutions to aid in the selection of learning management systems: http://thauck.edublogs.org/...
