General Management of 2500 employees, $450 million budget, advocate for/against legislation/regulations to benefit/harm the county, work for fair share of funding and grants, intriduce new projects to benefit, save money, improve services, offer new services, eliminate unnecessary services, establish new policies for the county, identify options, make recommendations and securte financing including bond issues, Hands -on help to prepare, monitor, manage and, where necesarry, chnge the budget process-left county with a $70 m fund balance after eliminating a $23 million deficit, reommended a discount (no-cost to county or patticipants) prescription drug program-saved $100k in aggregate per year, initiated, developed and secured approval for a Community correction Center for non-violent ,first time moffenders to reduce recidivism, cut costs by reducing population and developing inmate skills to reduce repeat offending...
