Provide small businesses and individuals support for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) for Exchange services. Perform BES server administration, upgrades and/or troubleshooting for existing small business BES infrastructures. Provide architectural guidance to businesses that want to integrate the BlackBerry services into their environment and assist in troubleshooting BES server or client issues. Deliver BES administrative training to local resources and/or Exchange administrators. Assist individual BlackBerry Internet Services (BIS) users through custom training designed specifically to meet their needs allowing them to achieve the maximum value of their handheld devices....

Managed Koch's globally managed BES environment. Provided support & guidance for an additional three BlackBerry Enterprise Servers run independently of KBS. Coordinated service desk support that was responsible for over 2300 handheld devices spread at times across three separate messaging environments. Enabled the wireless push of multiple software configuration packages and established multiple IT policies to meet the diverse needs of the Koch companies. Implemented Conceivium applications to more efficiently leverage, monitor and manage the Koch???s BlackBerry infrastructure. Functioned as a liaison between internal IT groups, RIM, external vendors & carriers to monitor & maintain operations & to troubleshoot any operational issues that occurred. Ensured customers were aware of any and all service disruptions. Automated an account creation & deletion process that provided Postini admins a tool to maintain the Postini Directory integrity....

Primary BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator responsible for three BES servers (Koch, INVISTA, and Koch Cellulose) and over 1,000 handheld devices. Third level support for all BlackBerry Handheld device issues. Assisted the Messaging Architect in the design, implementation and the deployment of the BlackBerry Infrastructure to Koch Industries acquisitions as needed. Maintained all facets of account administration and related support for a 10,000 account Active Directory and Exchange Environment, which spanned three forests. Responsible for second level FACSys support for a 1,000 seat Exchange integrated FACSys installation that crossed three separate messaging organizations....

How would you describe your time at Koch Industries?
Managed all aspects of network resource and Exchange account administration on Koch's NT4 Domain & Active Directory. Documented & delivered Exchange 5.5 Administrator training to remote Exchange Administrators, which resulted in a very efficient dispersed administrative model. Third level support for Outlook 97, 2000 and 2003 clients, forms development and training. Third level BES 3.5/3.6 support administration, BlackBerry Desktop Manager and handheld client/hardware installation, configuration and troubleshooting support. Conducted extensive training to first level support personnel enabling them to provide quality handheld support. Initiated and assisted in the automation of the employee separation process that resulted in cost savings of two FTE???s who were performing this daily task manually. Designed and assisted in the automation of Exchange server disk space capacity planning tool, that resulted in time savings and efficient utilization of existing Exchange Server resources....
