How would you describe your time at SunCal Companies?
For SunCal I manage our 65 servers that consist of mainly HP servers. This includes an HP blade enclosure for production and one at our offsite disaster recovery location as well as a handful of Dell servers. Some of the projects that I have completed in my time here include upgrading our SAV server to Symantec Endpoint Protection, upgrading our WSUS to 3.0, I???ve ran our regular maintenance on our Exchange 2003 Clustered environment (eseutil, and isinteg), Upgrading EMC Email Xtender to 4.8, upgrading our Google Search Appliance to 5.0, Upgraded VMWare Server to latest version and will be soon work with our partner to implement ESX Server, upgraded our Goodlink server to 5.0, applied the latest rollout to our Citrix 4.5 server, implemented Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 and am in the process of upgrading it to Systems Center Operations Manager 2007, upgraded one of our last Server 2000 servers to Server 2003, I???ve tested many IIS replication technologies for disaster recovery and have recommended Neverfail for this upcoming year for Goodlink, Blackberry, IIS, Sharepoint and SQL disaster recovery solutions which has been approved. I manage our EMC CX3-20 SAN. SAN issues that I have helped correct vary from call home Templates, upgrading flarecodes, replacing disks, and recently worked with EMC to replace both storage processors. I have reviewed and managed our Group Policy. I am in the process of upgrading our McAfee Secure Content Manger appliances. Some technology that I work with that has not been previously mention include: Commtouch, Stealthwatch IDS, GFI Mail Security and Mail Essentials, HelpSTAR, Symantec Backup Exec 11D, SQL 2000 and 2005, Riverbed, IPmonitor, and also manage Active Directory....

How would you describe your time at First Financial Bank / Firs...?
Responsibilities include maintaining Active Directory of over 1,100 users that span 44 different locations throughout Texas. Managing desktop configurations via Group Policy, WSUS and PatchLink. Maintain the security and stability of 110 different servers and devices by installing and configuring operating system patches. Support a Citrix 3.0 farm (10 servers) along with any applications installed on those servers and a new 4.0 Citrix Farm that has 7 servers as well. Coordinating the migration of users to the new farm and switching to published apps instead of published desktops. Work with many vendors to update their software and help with initial installations of their software and equipment. Maintain multiple Microsoft based technologies such as a Microsoft Exchange 2003 Clustered environment, Microsoft ISA Server 2004 Array and five Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2003 servers. Solid experience with BlackBerry Enterprise Server and related software. Install, harden and configure new servers that are added to our system. Handle administration of SAN, EMC Clarion CX 500. Worked with EMC to replace our CX 500 with a CX3-20 while also adding another CX3-20 for our Disaster Recovery site. Manage VMWare ESX 2.5 environment of 2 ESX servers and back up the Virtual servers with ESX Ranger (just upgraded to ESX 3.0). Manage all virus definitions with our Symantec Corporate on over 1,100 workstations and servers. Configure different backup applications such as Legato, Veritas Backup Exec, Windows Backup, ESX Ranger, RMSE and Brightstor ARC Serve backup. Monitor all servers uptime with a combination of OpManager and What???s Up Gold along with all event logs with Loglogic. Built and maintain a new web server to eliminate two servers in the DMZ and only use one for our online banking and website hosting for 14 different websites. Used knowledge to incorporate Host Headers to eliminate 21 public IP addresses which in turn saved the company a significant amount of money. Implemented Recipient Policies in Exchange to help with Exchange administration internally. Launched Group Policy, previously unused in this organization, to harden new workstations and keep all workstations consistent. Addressed permission issues on home and profile folders by establishing secure guidelines that automatically populated new user profiles with sufficient security rights to their personal folders. Coordinated large scale project to reorganize our servers and eliminate two server racks to be used in our DRS site. Established as a key role in implementing our DRS site servers late this year and early next year. Provide guidance on testing, choosing products, and implementing most applications in our environment. Meet with many different teams about projects and help troubleshoot any issues that may arise. Multitask between several projects at a time and meet many mission critical deadlines on a daily basis....

How would you describe your time at Velocity West?
At Velocity West I was part of a team that did technical support for 900+ internet services providers throughout the country. This included dialup, DSL, and wireless, troubleshooting issues. During this time I would help on average of 85-100 customers per day with their internet issues. This also included setting up of accounts for customers as well as issuing and resetting passwords for customers. This position helped me gain much more customer services related skills....

How would you describe your time at Mid-America Hardwoods?
Managed 15 servers that included a Citrix environment, an Exchange 5.5 environment, SQL 2000 servers, and managed several company specific applications. Supported the Windows 2000 Active Directory Environment for over 110 active users. Additionally, I upgraded hardware, software for workstations as well as servers. This was a great learning experience and an opportunity to get many of my existing certifications....
