Senior Analyst Security Programs
-Review and interpret Federal Code, Regulatory Guides, NRC Information Notices, industry Operating Experiences. Disseminate information and recommend actions while ensuring regulatory compliance. Develop and perform technical reviews of Emergency Plans, Security Plans and plant procedures.
-Security lead as site Performance Improvement Coordinator (PIC) in the identification and follow-up of conditions adverse to safety and quality entered in the plant corrective action program. Review internal self assessments, analyze benchmarking reports and assist with audits and inspections.
-Manage department budget forecast and multi-million dollar O&M and Capital expenditures.
-Interact and collaborate with federal, state, and local agency representatives and first responders to form agreements for emergency response. Assist in the development of integrated response plans and plant defensive strategies.
Senior Nuclear Security Officer/Supervisor
-Supervised the Armed Response Force as team leader. Evaluated threat information, directed on-site actions for site defensive strategy and notifications for off-site integrated (multiple state, local and federal entities) response. Coordinated security measures with United States Secret Service team leader for historic visit by President George Bush on June 22, 2005 as plant security Armed Response Team leader.
-Trained security officers in firearms usage, tactical response, and security procedures. Supervised Security System Operations and instructed plant personnel on site safety and security requirements.
-Managed and assisted security officers by addressing personnel issues and scheduling conflicts. Coordinated internal communications, training needs, and routine inspections.
Security Outage Coordinator
-Lead security coordinator and project task manager for refueling outage, 30 year turbine replacement, and reactor head replacement projects.
-Assisted integrated team of 30+ people in organizing security measures required for logistical movement of major replacement parts from US and Canada into the plant protected and vital areas.
-Drafted emergency task and contingency plans that incorporated emergency actions for threat conditions or declarations made through the Homeland Security Advisory System for Outage Management.
Security Officer & Security Systems Operator
-Managed security computer system as Central or Secondary Alarm Station operator for PTZ/CCTV cameras, access controls, intrusion detection, data management, and video capture. Organized system testing and maintained security documentation per regulatory and procedural requirements.
-Performed as armed tactical responder for the NRC pilot (Force-on-Force) exercise for evaluation of the revised Design Basis Threat (DBT) following 9/11....
