Who was your most influential mentor and what did they teach you?

I worked in the cafeteria at Fermilab for 12 years after graduating from high school. I knew nothing about cafeteria work, but a co-worker named Joyce took me under her wing and taught me the ropes, from doing dishes,sandwich making,grill cook, fry cook, deserts,salads,working in the kitchen to proper cleaning and sanitizing. She taught me so much,but more importantly Joyce taught me to have confidence in myself and to succeed.... read more
