I was a camp counselor at a Chicago Park District one year. It was my first year actually working with kids and I remember the whole concept of learning something new. The kids were a ragged bunch, but they had energy and spark to burn. Being called, "Coach" was a change in itself. I loved to manage the group of 10-12 yr old boys. I didn't have a problem at all that year. I learned how to deal with kids even better, learned how I want to discipline and command control of a classroom, and how to be a supervisor as well as a friend to the kids....
