HP has signed a contract with Emaar Economic City (EEC) to assist them with the project of establishing Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). The purpose of this
project is to put in place a navigation system to enable EEC to run their business effectively and efficiently and to focus on the critical issues facing the whole organization in achieving their ultimate goal of building and marketing the ($26.7 Billion) King Abdullah Economic city (KAEC). the largest private sector initiative in the Kingdom.

I joined EPMO core team two months before the EPMO project was kicked off on 28th October 2007; to work with the appointed EPMO director by HP on defining EPMO project charter clauses, i.e. mission, scope of work, resources, key stakeholders, and other clauses. Although my job role and responsibilities are not finally formulated yet and the work that has been done is a result of a team work; my roles and responsibilities includes but not limited to:

??? Contribute in defining a roadmap for creating, deploying and operating the overall EPMO operating framework; that includes visioning the short and long term EPMO mission and tasks and how to Incrementally build EPMO governance over all EEC programs and projects to achieve EEC strategic business objectives.
??? Identifying key contacts within the business areas with which the EPMO will work, and building the necessary management structure, communication and process to review and improve project contracting processes, control program budgets and payments, maintain enterprise quality standards, improve earned value, and to ensure enterprise-wide program and project communications and ???lessons learned??? are shared
??? Coordinate between business lines, IT Department and EPMO to establish and manage standards and processes for extracting, analysing, consolidating and communicating that data-through a dashboard solution within EEC, and to external stakeholders (principally SAGIA).
??? Create ???Non-Construction??? project management processes and procedures that meet international project management standards.
??? Study and analyze quality of KAEC program status reports and reporting procedure (raised by Turner Arabia/ the PgM), tidy up and restructure project reports, and provide senior management with independent validation and verification of project and program performance; metrics, measurement, and reporting.
??? Undertake ???quick-wins??? actions to enhance program status reporting and program progress monitoring, improve issue logs formatting & tracking procedure and to creating PMIS.
??? Support MIS team by gathering and analyzing EEC BUs??? performance measurements and Identifying meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the work being performed to embed it in the new developed Enterprise Performance Dashboard.

There are 60+ of IT business solutions that serve agilities and its affiliated companies all over the world; provided and maintained by Agility IT/Business Solutions department.
IT Solutions have become integral part of the total SCM solutions and services offered by Agilitylogistics. The Chief Solution Officer needed for a senior with spectrum knowledge and Experience to takeover his responsibilities related to managing all activities to offer best IT solutions demanded by Agility's clients through Agility's business developments worldwide.
My role and responsibilities were amended to include project management. It includes, but not limited to:

* Project Manager for Treasury Management System (IT/2 Simcorp), that's being executed by a solution provider in United States, solution hosting in Leads/ UK, IT infrastructure team in Kuwait and Finance application users distributed between US and Kuwait.
* Managing Shipment Tracking Solution Project. The project owner is GeoLogistics USA based, the development in Kuwait and the hosting is in Leads/ UK.
* Project Manager for Custom Clearance project. The project owner is in KSA, development in Kuwait and Hosting will be in Singapore.
* Applying Agility's EPMO PM Methodology to managing SA Custom Clearance system project required by SA country manager and being developed by Techies in Kuwait.
* Study and grasp all available IT Business applications; that including MicroTransport for Trucks and shipments visibility and tracking, Exceed Warehousing, Oracle ERP, Oracle PO, Oracle Inventory and Distribution, Maximo asset management and maintenance, Hyperion BI, Proc-Clarity BI, Oracle Transport Management and all other applications.
* Study and understanding Agility Business framework and concepts; Warehousing, Freight and Forwarding, Transporting, Global Logistics, 3PL and SCM services provided which are provided as courses, eLearning, orientation tours by Agility University that has set of education programs.
* Communicate with Business Development people and international clients (AUH governor executive managers, Asia Pacific VP and Executives, Global IT managers, etc) to study Tenders/ RFPs and collect business requirements and propose the best IT solutions along with costing.
* Play a liaison role between Agility IT solutions units to streamline the flow of updated information and data that regard the IT operation; applications solutions on the pipeline; status of development, new costs incurred, time schedule, resource availability, and so on.
* Liaising the communicating with IT solutions' suppliers to get best products offering and coordinate supplies to Agilitiy's beneficiaries worldwide.
